The steps

Step 1: Prepare the Angel’s Body
Cut a large triangle shape from white cardstock to form the angel’s gown. You can make it short and wide for a childlike angel or tall and narrow for a graceful one.
This piece will be the base where your fingerprint design will go, so keep the front area clean and flat.
Step 2: Make the Fingerprint Design
Dip your fingertip lightly into your chosen paint color—soft shades like light blue, green, or pink work beautifully—and press it onto the front center of the gown to create a fingerprint “pattern.” This print will represent the angel’s dress. Let it dry completely before continuing.
Step 3: Add the Head
Glue a small wooden bead or a round pom-pom at the top of the gown for the angel’s head. If using a bead, draw a small smiling face with a fine-tip marker. A simple dot for eyes and a curved line for a smile works perfectly.
Step 4: Create the Wings
Cut two symmetrical wing shapes from white cardstock. For a special touch, add fingerprint “feathers” by pressing your fingertip in gray or silver paint and gently stamping the wings.
Glue the wings to the back of the angel’s body, spreading them slightly for a graceful look.
Step 5: Make the Halo
Twist a gold or silver pipe cleaner into a small circle to form the halo. Attach it behind the angel’s head using glue or tape, leaving a small space so it floats just above.
If you plan to hang your angel, thread twine through the halo and tie a loop for easy display.

Step 6: Add Details and Decorations
Once the main shape is complete, personalize your angel. Use glitter glue to outline the gown, add small sequins as stars, or decorate the base with stickers. You can also write your name and the year on the back as a keepsake marker.
Step 7: Let Dry and Display
Allow all glue and paint to dry completely before handling. Hang your angel ornament on the tree, attach it to a gift, or line up several on a mantel for a heavenly display.
These sweet little angels add handmade charm to your holiday décor and are a wonderful way to preserve special memories year after year.
